About
“Our vision is to bring awareness of the terrible outcome that can be constructed by ignoring the composition of government pensions when saving for retirement.”
Ruben started his career in financial services in March of 1986, he quickly learned that RRSP was the first choice of Canadians when saving for retirement. But it was in the summer of 1992 when his parent’s GIS got reduced because of a withdrawal from their RRSP, that Ruben realized that he needed to learn about the integration of government pensions with retirement savings. Much to his disappointment, he later finds out that financial institutions had no interest in the topic, and that the government didn’t offer any information.
That was the beginning of a long journey, with scratched knees and bruises, but thanks to the new internet at the time, Ruben learned what he wanted and had the opportunity to help many of his financial services clients to plan their retirement income with government pensions as the foundation, to later add the proper personal savings approach.
Now, retired from sales of financial products, Ruben wants to share the calculators he created to help you estimate your retirement income potential.
